Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan, was the first city in Alaska, it is beautiful and well developed already for people that don’t like to be off the grid. There are many things to do in this beautiful city. This city only has a population of 8,284 people and is the southeasternmost city in Alaska. There is a port there for cruise ships to dock and get off to explore. This was definitly my favorite city, the people were nice and there was so much to see. IF you aren't a city person there are lost of trails and fishing sites located throught the city.

They have ziplining there, if you have a fear of heights this is not something you should do. If you are a thrill seeker this is definitely for you. They have a height and weight restriction, so you need to look and see if you meet the qualifications before booking. You get to go high into the Alaskan trees and zipline from tree to tree. These trees are not your normal trees, they are giant. You get to enjoy the precious views from above and take it all in. If you are lucky you may get to see some wildlife right below you.

They have this wonderful little show with cute buildings that hold some of the most precious souvenirs. Be careful this is one place where you can spend a lot of money on this to take back home. While walking through the town there is a lumberjack show that is simply amazing to see. It shows the skills a lumberjack needs to have and they hold a little friendly competition with each other and through comedy into the mix, that is definitely worth checking out. It's a fun show for the whole family to enojoy while in Alaska.
